Mountain Craft Days
Mountain Craft Days is the Somerset Historical Center’s signature educational event, held annually on the first weekend after Labor Day. This three-day outdoor festival features 125 crafts persons, artisans, and entertainers interpreting the rural folkways of western Pennsylvania. The event draws nearly 10,000 visitors from Pennsylvania and neighboring states as well as tourists from across the northeast and around the world.
In 2024, Mountain Craft Days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 6th, 7th, and 8th. The festival opens each day at 10 am and closes at 5pm.
Admission in 2024: Children under age 6 are FREE; Youngsters, 6-17 years, are $5/each; Adults, 18 and over, are $10. Proceeds from Mountain Craft Days help support operations of the Somerset Historical Center.
Parking is free on-site in grassy areas. Handicapped parking spaces are available in a paved lot. Festival attendants are on-hand to provide directions. (Please note: In the event of inclement weather, free shuttles will be provided to an offsite paved parking lot.)
Service animals are permitted, but no other pets are allowed. An ATM is available in the Visitors Center for visitor's convenience.
